Check out Dr John McDougall’s website www.drmcdougall.com. While I don’t agree with Dr McDougall’s advocacy of a starch-based diet because of its relatively low nutrient per calorie density (compared to a diet based on vegetables, legumes, fruits, nuts and seeds), his website is a treasure-trove of well-researched articles, great recipes and inspiring case histories.
Saturday night is the one night of the week when I don’t have to think about what we’re having for dinner. It’s the only day I don’t work from home, which gives me a great excuse to leave dinner plans in the capable (or culpable?) hands of my partner, John. Fortunately, he can cook. Tonight he made a sensational vegan lasagna with a red lentil and vegie filling. We had it with a spinach salad with lots of sun-dried tomatoes. I’ve told him he has to share the lasagna recipe for tomorrow’s post. Sadly for him, he is a one-fingered typist so it could take a while ;).
